Welcome Back Keyettes to the 2008-2009 School Year!
Hey Girls,
We will now be using this website to keep you updated about upcoming meetings and other events. It will be updated weekly and will contain vital information on how to stay active in the club this year.
This year we have two new sponsors, Ms. Kidd (Room 325) and Ms. Carter (Room 433). Our meetings have been moved to Mondays right after school unless we tell you otherwise. Club meetings will be held the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month with the 4th being a formal meeting. If you do not dress up the same rules apply, pay Natalie Forbes, our Treasurer, $1. Also, dues are now due! They are currently $17 and will go up $1 each week until a maximum of $20. Failure to pay your dues by November 26th will result in dismissal from the club. If you cannot attend a meeting you will need to get a note to Katie West, our Recording Secretary, or to one of our other officers. If you miss two meetings without notes you will be asked to leave the club.
We strongly encourage you to sign up for events that will be announced at meetings! Although, if you do sign up and are not able to attend please notify Sydney Felker, our Vice President with at least 24 hour notice. If you fail to do this 30 minutes will be deducted from your 9 weeks time, and as we all know, these 30 minutes can make a difference. If you fail to meet your time requirements for the 9 weeks, you will be placed on probation for the following 9 weeks. Failure to meet your time requirements the next 9 weeks will result in dismissal from the club. We will always have enough events scheduled to meet your time requirements and you can always get up to 4 hours of service outside of the club verified by a leader or adult other than your parent/guardian.
If you hear or are notified about a service project, please share! We are always looking for new projects to help take part in. This year we will have a Chairperson and a committee for each event and activity that we take part in. An officer will be assigned as a Chairperson and club members will be part of the committee. These committees will be discussed at meetings and will be organized then.
One final thing, we need a Keyette Transportation Permission Slip signed and returned to one of the officers or club sponsors as soon as possible.Without this you cannot ride or transport other Keyettes to an events and any service hours you get are INVALID. Please turn this in.
